Personal drivers, gardeners and personal masseuses come from the Philippines to work for the rich in Romania

In a context in which hiring foreign staff in Romania has become almost normal, a certain segment of employees is particularly appreciated by Romanians with generous incomes. These are the staff from the Philippines who come to work for wealthy families. Personal drivers, personal assistants, gardeners, even personal masseuses have come, say representatives of Work From Asia, the agency that recruited them.

"The increase in applications for predominantly domestic staff comes as a natural consequence of the good recommendations received from the company's customers, who have been impressed by the good level of English, the constructive attitude and reliability of the staff in the Philippines. We are currently receiving many requests to bring in: personal drivers, gardeners, personal assistants and personal masseuses. We are talking about a premium service, which only those with considerable income can afford, because the staff in the Philippines is very well trained professionally," said Yosef Gavriel Peisakh, General Manager Work From Asia

While the market for recruiting foreign staff in Romania is growing steadily, the process of bringing in labor remains a rather complicated one, with several months of waiting. In the case of the Philippines we can talk about the lowest waiting time, which most often results in staff placed in about 3 months from the signing of the contract. Moreover, foreign workers from the Philippines enjoy greater protection from the state of origin, which requires financial guarantees from agencies accredited to place foreign labor in Romania, the recruitment agency said.
