Filipina nannies are in great demand in Romania, and most parents opt for a Filipina nanny because of the passion and seriousness with which they help raise Romanian children.
When it comes to this kind of investment, Romania is no exception, with families across the country willing to pay around €3,000 to recruitment agencies just to bring in nannies from countries such as the Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, writes Adevărul.
These are not the only costs that Romanian families have to pay, but also their monthly salary of around €500-600 with related taxes, as well as their accommodation and meals.
According to Gândul, the average salary of a nanny in Romania is about 3,460 lei per month. Here is what an ad posted on a Jobble portal looks like and the salary offered to a nanny in Bucharest, Sector 3, Dristor area.
"We are recruiting #bonbon for special family.
Location.
Part-time: 4 hours/day (9.00 - 13.00), Monday to Friday.
Salary: 1500 - 1800 lei, negotiable depending on previous experience.
Age of child: 4 months
The ideal candidate for us is a sociable, cheerful, proactive, responsible person, interested in a long-term collaboration", says the announcement.
Some of the nannies already have experience with families in Romania and mention in their advertisements when looking for jobs that they speak English and Romanian and can communicate with the little ones according to the parents' preferences. Moreover, agencies specialized in bringing nannies from Asia mention that it is sometimes an advantage that the nannies are not Romanian-speaking.
"People want Asian nannies and maids for the hard work and stability that comes with the package. Often, the fact that they are non-English speakers has even been an advantage. The nannies and maids come to work for a minimum of two years and you can rely on them, except of course for 10%, which is representative of any business, because we must not forget that we work with people. But that's why we have a service contract with the agency, whereby we provide guarantees for the staff brought in and advice on managing the collaboration with the nannies and housekeepers recruited through our agency"said Yosef Gavriel Gavriel Peisakh, general manager of Work from Asia, one of the largest agencies specializing in bringing nannies from Asia.
